Mentor’s Workshop, 22nd June 2019
Broadening Horizons is a lifelong process. It is a way for people to assess their skills and qualities, consider their aims in life and set goals in order to realize and maximize their potential.
The workshop was conducted by Ms. Shivnetri Mudgal, a Psychologist. The foremost aim of this workshop was to apprise about techniques to increase concentration in the students, improve their communication skills and inculcate active learning skills in them. The talk was divided into three segments, i.e. bringing change in one self, understanding the needs of the scholars and various stages of life given by famous psychologist Eric Erickson. The workshop began with warm up sessions followed by many interesting activities and concluded with a message on self-development/improvement. It taught the teachers the importance of teamwork and having a positive attitude.
Principal, Lt Col A K Tyagi also spoke on the importance of understanding child psychology and how importance it is for a teacher to be path finder and motivator for a scholar.
It was an interactive workshop and beautifully marked the beginning of the session with zest and zeal.
